Oscar Winners @ the Angelika Plano - for your consideration!
The Oscars are just around the corner and to get everyone in the mood, the Angelika Plano will be hosting a mini-series of Best Picture winners from the past. But here’s the best part: you choose the films! Here are the rules:
- Voters may vote as many times as they like.
- Voters may vote for up to 3 films at one time.
- The poll is active from Dec. 1 through early January.
- Every Thursday we’ll eliminate the lowest 5 films and re-post the poll.

When Midnight Cowboy was released, I lived in Oklahoma City. The ratings system had just come out and Midnight Cowboy received a “dreaded” X rating. Far be it from Oklahoma to allow anything with an X rating to cross its borders. I have seen Midnight Cowboy many times but never on a big screen. Now could be the time. Hey folks, vote for Midnight Cowboy!

Until one sees the list, one does not realize how unremarkable AA winners are.
