THE GRADUATE returns to the big screen

August 2, 2012

Oscar-winner for director Mike Nichols (among seven nominations), Dustin Hoffmanâ??s star-making breakout role, with Simon & Garfunkelâ??s score starting a new trend in soundtrack music, THE GRADUATE is one of the most iconic and recognized (not to mention quotable) American films of the last century. The prophetic word “plastics” has chilling resonance, while the screenplay’s skewering of our emphasis on appearances and social propriety is more relevant than ever.

The 1967 masterpiece returns to the big screen this week in celebration of its 45th anniversary. A brand new 35mm print will be playing for a limited time at the Angelika Dallas.
