Andrew Friedenberg is the director of the Cinema Society (with chapters in San Diego and the greater Phoenix area) and the artistic director of the Coronado Island Film Festival. 

A former regional marketing manager for MGM, United Artists and Columbia Pictures, he coordinated the San Diego Symphony’s “Classic Film” Silent Film Series; “Sunset Cinema Film Festival”, which involved a barge float to five port cities in San Diego; and “Cinema Summer” at the San Diego County Fair. He is frequently heard on local radio and TV on the subject of motion pictures. 

Friedenberg graduated from Boston University with a B.S. in Communications and is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and the British Academy of Film and Television Arts-Los Angeles.
