Lean on Pete

Experience the journey in LEAN ON PETE

We all need someone to lean on, and Andrew Haigh’s latest film LEAN ON PETE shows that sometimes that someone can be a four-legged animal. The acclaimed director, who’s previous works include 45 YEARS, WEEKEND and LOOKING, brings to life a deeply moving story of a boy, Charley, who embarks on a journey across the American frontier with an aging horse – Lean on Pete – by his side. The film’s Charley is brilliantly portrayed by Charlie Plummer (ALL THE MONEY IN THE WORLD). The Hollywood Reporter raves, “Charlie Plummer’s breakout performance is remarkable,” and it shows in his Marcello Mastroianni Award for Best Young Actor at the Venice Film Festival, and Best Actor win from the Les Arcs European Film Festival.

With its impeccable 90% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes, this beautiful journey is undeniably one worth experiencing on the big screen. The New York Times calls it, “A very fine movie that I haven’t stopped thinking about since I saw it,” and the Wall Street Journal says it, “will make you weep for the horse and the boy who loves him.”
