The Angelika’s own Travis Landry had a chance to sit down with Academy Award winning Director Robert Zemeckis (FORREST GUMP, BACK TO THE FUTURE, CASTAWAY) and Academy Award nominated actor Steve Carell (BEAUTIFUL BOY, FOXCATCHER, THE OFFICE) to discuss their new film WELCOME TO MARWEN.

Based on the true story of Mark Hogancamp, WELCOME TO MARWEN sees him attempt to recover after being violently beaten to within an inch of his life by a group of men that committed a hate crime. As a result of the attack, Mark was deeply changed, both mentally and physically. As a mental escape, as well as a theraputic means to combat the trauma of the event, Mark creates a world of dolls and the fictional town of Marwen. The film features a groundbreaking new motion capture process to bring the dolls to life courtesy of Robert Zemeckis and his production team, and co-stars Diane Kruger, Leslie Mann and Janelle Monae.
